About Me

A little about me….

You’ll find me in my small cosy studio, within my home, nestled in the countryside on the border of Co. Meath and Co. Cavan in Ireland. I’m originally from Dublin, and studied Psychology for many years. While completing my PhD in the subject, I was fortunate to work in both academic and applied therapeutic settings, and after the birth of my son, I started to tune in to a desire to move to a different path. Bit by bit (it definitely wasn’t an overnight thing!), I started to change, learn, and re-train, as well as re-embracing a childhood passion for creativity.

The Three Little Birds Story...

In November 2017 I created a website for the studio, a place to sell my cards and prints, and started to trade under the name Three Little Birds. The studio grew and for the next (almost!) 7 years, we produced handlettered calligraphy prints, illustration prints, greeting cards, and homewares. If you'd like to read a little more about this story, and the changes that have come about in recent times, I have a full post here dedicated to it over on my newsletter.

...and now...

I now work solely under my own name, in my studio with my two canine buddies Gus and George by my side. I work in watercolour and ink (digitally now!), combining my love of words and drawings, through my two characters, the girl and the dog. Sometimes I only write, other times I only draw, and most of the time, I combine the two! Combining my writing, and drawing brings such joy. I’m working on children’s picture books, and my (almost) daily drawings of my two little characters allow me to express my true self.

On the website, you'll find greeting cards, prints, my book The Girl And The Dog, and gifts which all feature my illustrations and words. I'm fortunate to have my work stocked in many shops nationwide, to run a busy webshop here on the site, and I'm so grateful for the support which enables me to continue to grow.

Thank you for reading!
